Back to School Crafts (with Scrapbook)

13/09/2017

A new course begins and we become the most creative. Today we give you some ideas to fill some autumn evenings that are already approaching with these crafts for the return to school. Who said going back to the routine had to be boring?

1. Time for the wall

Surely the new course is loaded with new activities, schedules different from the previous course, etc. So that there is no confusion in the back to school we propose a very easy and useful manualidad not to lose count of the new schedules: a family schedule to hang on the wall.

Necessary material
Cardboard or carton
Scissors
Glue
Decorative tape or washi tape
Colors
Scrapbooking material

How is it done?

When you have clear family members and schedules that you want to show in the calendar for the new course, organize some grids in a large cardboard or cardboard. Organize each table as a weekly schedule marking the hours and days on which there are activities. This can be a perfect exercise for the little ones to become familiar with the days of the week and the hours.

After specifying the schedules of each family comes the fun part: the decoration! Let the children glue, peel and paint the schedule at their pleasure.

The more details you have, the more fun and personal the DIY family schedule will be. You can even hang pictures of each family member or go changing items in each quarter or time of the year as needed.

You can hang it in a visible place of the house: apart from useful it will look very nice.

2. Decoration of notebooks

Although there are collections of notebooks for all tastes, it can be very fun to customize the notebooks and folders for the return to school. In this way, the children will have fun and at the same time can organize the notebooks by subject: one more way to get excited about the new course. In addition, this manual activity can be adapted to each child according to their subjects and their age.

Necessary material
Notebooks or folders with the smooth cover
Scissors
Glue
Adhesives and Labels
Colored markers
Decorative papers
Scrapbook material
Postcards or photos
Linen paper

How is it done?

This manual for the return to school requires few instructions. Give the notebooks to the children and let them draw, cut, paste and, above all, have fun decorating the covers. The decorative elements and ornaments will bring originality and color to the school material.

Older children and teens may like to stick pictures with their friends or postcards to decorate their notebooks: the choices are endless.

In order not to confuse the books of the different subjects we can label them or suggest to the children that decorate them in relation to each one.

Finally, to make sure that the decoration holds the entire course we can line the folder with adhesive paper.

3. To do list

A fun way for kids to get involved in household chores in the new course and learn to take on small responsibilities will be to make a to-do list for the chore.

To make it even more entertaining you can invent a system of points for children to take it as a game. The rewards you can decide among all, but always be a family activity or a trip that material gifts.

Necessary material
Cardboard
Glue
Scissors
Colors
Stickers
Adhesive notes

How is it done?

This craft for back to school can be done in a thousand different ways depending on the system to be used. One idea is to mark on a large cardboard, to hang on the wall, the different tasks that children should do such as making the bed, setting the table or picking up the toys. In a column with the children's names you can add "points" each time it is done successfully.

Another fun system would be to make a simple design in the form of a board in which the final box will be the "prize" and in the others will show the tasks.

The fun part will be the decoration of this to-do list, a perfect way for children to take on their obligations as a game and get excited about it. The scrapbook elements will give an air of the most original to the list.

You already see that there are many ways to turn the organization to the back to school in a moment of fun and creativity for the little ones. You can adapt these crafts to the needs and age of your children to be most personal.
